Fun New Numbers Book!
The book Counta Block by Christopher Franceschelli is so much fun! The Library Director picked up this gem for us. The pages of this board book are thickly cut into shapes of numbers. The story is written around what each of these numbers can become. The story runs numbers 1-10 and then picks up speed get to 100. Two of my favorites: 3 boxes become...3 forts and 60 balls of dough becomes 60 cookies. The colors are bright and deserve a second look. While this is a board book, I think this book is a hoot to read with early grade children to see what they think the numbers will become.
