Did you play board games while you were growing up? Every year for Christmas, my parents would get us board games to play. We would spend our quiet time after the holidays playing board games with each other. Was there squabbling? Yes! Did mom need to referee from time to time? Yes! Did I love it anyway and are they fond memories? YES and YES! With a family of six, it was a perfect time for us to slow down and come together.
We decided it would be a blast to hold a game night at the library for our families. We are hoping to provide families a fun place to come together in an unhurried environment. While planning our game night, we came across a wonderful article that we thought was worth sharing with you. Scholastic presents why board games are worth the effort here. We cannot wait for board game night and hope to see you there.
--Happy Readings!
